Update: April 29th, 2004 Note: the following statements are the result of an independent study performed under the auspices of F.B. Global Media and in no way reflect the opinions or beliefs of this web provider. We're pleased to announce that our first round of testing is complete. Our contacts in the Prussian army indicate that Funkus Brody's "Ten Millionaires" is "the best thing since Helga Strumfahdler sang the closing 3 hours of 'Des Ring Des Nibelungen' in front of the Reichstadt this past February."

To the left: Our Prussian pen pals, groovin' to the bouncing beats of "Flush The Toilet Down" and the somber sounds of "So I Know". Those Europeans sure know music!

Naturally, we're delighted and humbled by this blush-inducing and wholly unanticipated praise, especially the bit where we are compared to the incomparable Ms. Strumfahdler. Little could we have known a few weeks back as we burned a phonograph on the Mac here at Ostrich Maker Studios that our humble efforts would soon delight the tympanic (and germanic) membranes of innumerable, un-nameable multitudes out in the wide blue yonder of this rocky world. Which is all just to say, in short, and to get to the point, that... RECORDING IS NOW COMPLETE! Yes, we're very excited too, but feel we must temper our enthusiasm with the knowledge that we have yet to mix and master the recordings. We've also yet to complete all the album materials. "Is all this really necessary?" you may ask. Indeed it is! For we aim to provide you, the would-be fan, with the most dilectable sonic sundries imaginable, and will do much to avoid failing in that reverend charge. As such, mixing and mastering are essential. Along with the forthcoming album release, we'd like to announce the imminent arrival of the Funkus Brody companion book which will be available for purchase upon release of the album. Look for it in our online store! While you're here, don't forget to take a look (and a listen) to the updated "Evolution of a Song" section, which features newly uploaded samples of the songs "Robin's Egg Blue" and "Robot Ostrich Maker". Lastly, and most importantly, we'd like to once again thank everyone who contributed their time and talents to this music. You're all very special to us, and make us feel, well, like I imagine robots would feel if they had feelings and had other robots who helped them complete a robot task that was difficult and required the aid of other robots. Just like that, but with people instead of robots. ....yeah.
