You see, it was a night, much like the night of tonight, when the Gerbensplats first appeared. A night when the soft smells of the Stanyon Pails made their way down from Durry Ridge, to rest on our wayward souls and help us catch star bunnies on our slippery tongues....
...a night when the first Gerbensplat, with its garnish-shaped crown of severed ears around its grizzled beard, stepped out of the shadows to point his turnip-finger at my spinning head and tell me The Story....
